To Be Honest Mental Health Theme Poster Contest

Theme: Joy is resilience
How does experiencing joy help us heal? Joy is resilience is about healing from hurtful situations, trauma, mental health challenges, etc. through experiencing joy. How has joy positively impacted your recovery process? What things in your life bring you joy and make you a stronger and resilient person? There are many ways to experience joy, but we want to know how you have benefited from joy and how you personally experience it.
 
Pieces can be submitted to one of four categories. We ask that each participant only submit one original piece:
2D (Art made on a flat surface): Drawings, Paintings, Block printing, Collage, Mixed media, Poetry (on paper), etc.
3D (Art that is three dimensional): Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewelry, Glass, Metal or papier-mâché figures, etc.
4D (Art produced through technology): Graphic design, Digital illustrations, Photography, Spoken Poetry via video or audio clips, Dance via video, Music, or Podcast(s).
​Short Films: Music video, Animation, Documentary, or a genre of your choice

The Pre-College Art Experience (PCAE) at Academy of Art University is a tuition-FREE art and design education program for high school students. It’s a great opportunity to jump-start your art and design education while earning money toward your college degree. You can take the pre-college program on our campus in San Francisco or online year-round. Explore your future, gain confidence in your creative abilities, and have the time of your life as an art and design student at Academy of Art University.
