Meet Our Wellness Team

 
The Mental Health and Wellness Team includes Lilian Alfaro Cavlan (“Lilian or Mrs. Cavlan”), our Site Wellness Specialist, a CASSY Therapist, several Pacific Clinics Clinicians and Family Specialists, and our School Counselors.

Lilian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and obtained her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University, with a double emphasis on Health Psychology and Latino Counseling. Lilian is bilingual in English and Spanish, a certified clinical supervisor and incorporates mindfulness-based practices in her work. She began her clinical experience in 2010 with grief and loss, worked at various community-based agencies, provided mental health services within the Department of Family and Children Services, Juvenile Justice system and she coordinated school-based counseling services throughout Santa Clara County. Lilian promotes a strength-based model to create a safe space for reflection, problem solving to enhance health and well-being.
 
Lilian’s motto: I believe in receiving professional help especially when we are struggling. Talking to a counselor helps us find our strength and power. I believe that every person is strong enough for improved health and worthy of a better quality of life.

One on one counseling is provided to our students through a district partnership with CASSY (Counseling and Support Services for Youth). CASSY is a nonprofit agency that partners with schools to provide professional mental health services to students in their academic setting. Our therapists are compassionate, competent and conveniently located right on campus. Pacific Clinics

 

To make an appointment with Pacific Clinics, students need to see their school counselor first (see below), or come to the Wellness Center, or complete a referral form.

 

One on one counseling is provided to our students through a district partnership with Pacific Clinics (formerly Uplift Family Services). Pacific Clinics is one of the largest behavioral health treatment providers in California. One of the programs provided by Pacific Clinics is early intervention and therapy to students and families who are suffering from a mental health issue. These services utilize evidence-based practices and include parent workshops, youth groups, and individual and family therapy. Our Pacific Clinics team member works in collaboration with our Admin, teachers, and parents to support our students emotional and academic success.
