Information for 8th Grade Students

We're happy you are interested in an education at Branham High School!

We will help you on your journey to becoming a Branham Bruin.  The Counseling Department offers the following student and parents services to assist in preparing for high school.

COUNSELOR OR ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL VISITS

Branham's 8th Grade Parent Information Night is usually followed up after the counselor/AP visits to the local feeder middle schools. Assistant Principals or School Counselors present on freshman year and the available courses to choose from. Students are given programming cards to take home to their parents to help them with choosing their classes. Programming cards are returned to the middle school for pick up 2 weeks after the class visits.

CHOOSING YOUR CLASSES
Choose your classes wisely. Get input from current teachers and counselors. Challenge yourself by taking honors English. Programs such as AVID, Band, ROTC and Leadership build strong students by teaching you how to balance your time with academics and extracurricular activities.
