Naviance is a college and career readiness solution that helps districts and schools align student strengths and interests to postsecondary goals, improving student outcomes and connecting learning to life.

Branham's Counseling Department is comprised of four school counselors and the College & Career Specialist.  Branham High School utilizes Naviance as one of the main preparation and organizational tools for students' post-high school planning and career exploration.

Naviance helps high school students:

  • Understand their own unique strengths.
  • Connect their interests to careers.
  • Set goals.
  • Develop self-knowledge and personal motivation.

Through specific grade-level Advisory lessons plans, every Branham student has access to Naviance to explore the following activities: strengths explorer, career surveys and inventories, college majors and programs, and college campuses.

Some of the activities include:

  •       College and scholarship searches.
  •       Career and personality assessments.
  •       Completing college application tasks during the college application process.
  •       Resume writing
  •       Seniors must use Naviance to request letters of recommendation or documents from Branham.

It is important for all students to use Naviance if they are planning on going to college. Students should keep track of colleges they are interested in by listing them on their College tab once they log-in to Family Connection. Students should also update their resumes whenever they begin participating in extracurricular / co-curricular activities or receive academic, athletic, or community service awards.
