When is it? October 19, 2024, from 10 AM to 3 PM at Branham High School.
What is it? Celebrating the month of the International Day of the Girl (October 11), our free Girl-Powered Workshop aims to foster a passion for STEM that a tedious school curriculum may otherwise deter. This event is for middle schoolers and high schoolers of any gender. In the morning, we will lead various mini-stations and makerspaces to explore creative (and fun!) applications of STEM. In the afternoon, a panel of women from the industry will discuss their experiences, educational journeys, careers, and any other topics of interest. Afterward, each panelist will lead a small group of attendees, so they can ask more direct questions and have engaging discussions with their peers.
