Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE)

Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) is a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) high school program offering 24 courses, most of which are UC “a-g” approved that prepare students for college and future careers.

The program is FREE for qualified 11th- and 12th-grade students who want to train for a specific career path. Students who enroll in the program must commit to the morning (7:30 to 10:30 a.m.) or afternoon (12:45 to 3:45 p.m.) sessions, Monday through Friday. Bus transportation is provided from the student's home high school to SVCTE, and back to the home high school.

Juniors at Branham High School are strongly encouraged to select the PM section of SVCTE to avoid scheduling conflicts with their Branham classes. Though the AM section is still an option, Juniors in the AM section will miss an hour of class every other Wednesday in their second class of the day. Juniors must take a 7th period and will enroll in English, Math, US History, and Physics.

Information is provided throughout the school year to students and their families regarding the SVCTE program and the registration process. Registration for the following school year occurs in the spring.

If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to explore the program further, please contact your school counselor.
