Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment is a program for CUHSD 9th-12th-grade students where they can earn weighted high school credits and college credits. Every 3-unit West Valley College (WVC) course awards up to 10 high school credits. These college courses are free for students. All costs are covered, including the enrollment fees, books, and classroom materials.
Students are expected to attend class in accordance with the WVC calendar. Holidays may differ between WVC and CUHSD.
Application Process
Please note that you will need to complete two applications. The first application is to apply to WVC. The second application is to apply for the Dual Enrollment courses at WVC. Follow the instructions below.
- Apply to West Valley College by completing the CCCApply Application.
- Create an account if you do not have one yet. You will receive a CCC ID# (e.g., AF861972) via email; this is not your WVC ID#. Your CCC ID# will give you access to the online application.
- If you have an account, sign in to apply for the correct term.
- You must reapply every term you are applying for Dual Enrollment.
- Once you complete your WVC application through CCCApply, please note down the CCCApply Confirmation number. You will need this for the Dual Enrollment application.
- Within 5 minutes to 2 hours, you will receive your West Valley College ID G# (e.g., G08XXXXXX) via email. Please note this down, as you will also need it for the Dual Enrollment application.
- Email the Admissions Office if you do not receive your G# within 2 hours - include your full name, CCC ID#, and date of birth.
- Apply for the Dual Enrollment Application. The application will be sent to Ms. Espino for review and processing.
*Completing all of the steps above does NOT guarantee you a spot in your Dual Enrollment Course. Courses fill up quickly. Your patience throughout the entire process is appreciated.*
