Benefits of Taking AP Courses
- Students who take an AP course are exposed to a college level curriculum.
- Students exposed to this curriculum have a higher rate of success in college than those who do not.
- Students who take an AP course and pass the corresponding exam with a 3 or better earn college level credit. *some colleges are requiring 4’s and 5’s, as previously stated. AP Credit Policy
- A student has the potential to start college already ahead of other freshman students.
- One of the greatest benefits of taking an AP course is the influence on students’ future college major/interests.
