Message from Beatriz Espinoza, Community Liaison

As the recently appointed Community Liaison, I look forward to engaging with many new and returning families. My previous role as a Bilingual Aide here at Branham further honed my ability to facilitate meaningful connections and provide invaluable assistance to those in need.

With fluency in both English and Spanish, I bridge linguistic divides, ensuring effective communication and understanding among diverse populations. As a former English Learner (EL) student myself, I am uniquely positioned to empathize with and support individuals navigating similar paths. Rest assured, this does not imply a limit of my ability to assist ALL students and their families.

In my role as Community Liaison, I am dedicated to fostering inclusivity, collaboration, promoting cultural awareness, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. My aim is to effectively provide essential resources for staff, students, and families, as well as to establish connections that contribute to student academic achievement within the scope of my responsibilities.

How does Beatriz support our Branham Community?

The Community Liaison supports the Branham Community in a variety of ways, including:

  1. Advocating for Students: Ensuring students and their families feel supported, heard and included in the school community.
  2. Supporting Families: Helping families navigate school resources, platforms, programs and policies to support student success.
  3. Connecting Resources: Providing information about community services, including language support, social programs and resources.
  4. Facilitating Engagement: Organizing meetings, workshops, and events to encourage family involvement in their student’s education.
